It’s Time to Check In on Your AC

Spring has officially arrived. And though chilly early-spring temperatures might make summer seem like a distant thing, warmer days are on the near horizon. As homeowners prepare to transition from using their furnaces or heat pumps to running their air conditioners, it’s important they take the time to schedule preventative AC maintenance.

Read on to learn more about why springtime is especially important for air conditioner tune-ups and how the dedicated local experts at Bovio Rubino Service can help keep your home comfortable all year round with their maintenance protection plans.

Why Spring Is an Important Time for Preventative AC Maintenance

Homeowners in the Tri-County area know how warm our South Jersey summers can be. And, though summer may seem far away now, it will be here before we know it! To make sure your AC is working properly and efficiently, it’s important to perform preventative maintenance (or a tune-up) in the early spring–before you’re relying on it to cool your home down on a sweltering 90-degree day. By doing preventative maintenance now, you can catch any small issues or repairs before they become more significant and costly.

What Is Preventative AC Maintenance?

To keep your heating and cooling systems running smoothly, they should be serviced at least once per year. It’s generally a good idea to perform preventative HVAC maintenance before either system is used heavily. For AC, that means that maintenance is best performed in early spring before it gets too hot outdoors. In other words, now is a great time for an AC tune-up.

Wondering just what is included in preventative AC maintenance? When you schedule an AC tune-up with Bovio Rubino Service, here are some of the services you can expect our expert, certified technicians to provide:

  • Inspecting and tightening the system’s electrical connections
  • Lubricating all moving parts
  • Inspecting the condensate drain
  • Checking each system control
  • Ensuring the thermostat settings are working
  • And more!

Applications for the 2026 Bovio Rubino Service Young Women’s Leadership Conference are Live

South Jersey Rising Junior and Senior High School Young Women are Encouraged to Apply

Voorhees, New Jersey – April 1, 2026 – Young women going into their junior and senior years of high school who are thinking about their futures are encouraged to apply to attend the 2026 Bovio Rubino Service Young Women’s Leadership Conference on Wednesday, July 15 in Voorhees.

The application to attend the Young Women’s Leadership Conference is now live and available through Friday, May 1 by midnight. The Conference is part of “LeadHERship in ’26,” this year’s Bovio Rubino Service community cause which “seeks to advance the opportunities of young women through career readiness, entrepreneurship, community betterment and a personal health and wellness mindset.”

Speakers, workshops and discussions are part of the one-day Conference in July. The opportunity to present an original idea that betters the community after the Conference will be presented to the Conference attendees.

Investing in young women is an idea close to the heart of Bovio Rubino Service president Angela Rubino Hines, a Mom of two young women and a leader amongst very few women in the HVAC and Plumbing service industry. In 2025 Hines was named one of the country’s “Top 12 Women in HVAC” by ACHR News. While she’s humble about the success she has achieved it inspires her to encourage the next generation of women leaders.

“We look forward to investing in young women this year at our Conference, through creative programs with our team members and through partnerships with nonprofit organizations. ‘LeadHERship in ’26’ is our way of giving back and inspiring the next generation of women leaders right here in South Jersey where we live and where our customers live.”
