Game Changers in ‘25 Built Teamwork, Confidence & Community

Bovio Rubino Service Supported South Jersey Kids’ Healthy Minds and Active Bodies

Bovio Rubino Service supported the physical and mental benefits of youth sports through its Game Changers in ’25 community outreach initiative.

Donations drives for youth sporting equipment and mind games, sponsorship of local youth sports leagues and a multi-layered partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County were part of the year-long campaign.

An independent Voorhees, New Jersey headquartered HVAC and plumbing service company, Bovio Rubino Service, through Game Changers in ’25, sponsored a variety of local youth sports. Many of the teams were affiliated with Bovio Rubino Service team members and customers who support youth sports as volunteers.

The Cherry Hill Raiders 11U baseball team, the Williamstown High School Football team, the GT Stallions Football Club, the Camden County Miracle League, the Northwest Swim Club in Vineland, Kicks for Cause in Marlton, the Clayton and Deptford baseball Little Leagues and the Buena Regional High School Wrestling team were all beneficiaries.

Cherry Hill Raiders Coach Brian Radle said, “We’re working to help guide our boys into great young men through the platform of sports.” His team received new bat bags as part of Bovio Rubino Service’s sponsorship.

Going to Bat for the Boys & Girls Clubs

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County (BGCGC) aims to “inspire all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.”

In support of that mission, Bovio Rubino Service team members kicked off Game Changers in ’25 with a company-wide youth sporting goods drive for the Clubs’ annual Summer Camp enrolling more than 150 children at two locations in Glassboro and Paulsboro.

“We love supporting programs that promote learning and physical activity, and I’m thankful for our team’s enthusiasm in bringing this initiative to life,” says Angela Rubino Hines, president of Bovio Rubino Service.

Along with the summer youth sports equipment drive and a holiday drive for games, toys and sports equipment, Bovio Rubino Service organized summer camp activities focused on wellness and career exploration for the BGCGC youth.

In July, the youngest summer campers at the Glassboro Club took part in a yoga and mindfulness session led by Laura Rubino of Higher Minds Yoga. Campers enjoyed a focused afternoon as Rubino guided them through an energizing and uplifting session.

In August, Bovio Rubino Service technicians presented BGCGC’s older campers at both locations with a pre-career HVAC and plumbing workshop including a hands-on lesson in leverage involving a boiling water experiment using reduced air pressure.

When asked about her experience at the Workshop, fourth-grader Nyasia in Paulsboro said she enjoyed “learning about leverage and using smarter tools to make a job easier.”

Each year Bovio Rubino Service chooses a new community cause to support through team member volunteering, sponsorships and donation drives. In 2023 the community cause was hunger relief. In 2024 the cause was animal awareness and protection. Game Changers in ’25 continued a new tradition. The 2026 community cause will be announced early in the new year.

Exposure to Careers, Entrepreneurship, Community Betterment and Personal Wellness

South Jersey Rising Junior and Senior High School Young Women are Encouraged to Apply

Voorhees, New Jersey – April 1, 2026 – Young women going into their junior and senior years of high school who are thinking about their futures are encouraged to apply to attend the 2026 Bovio Rubino Service Young Women’s Leadership Conference on Wednesday, July 15 in Voorhees.

The application to attend the Young Women’s Leadership Conference is now live and available through Friday, May 1 by midnight. The Conference is part of “LeadHERship in ’26,” this year’s Bovio Rubino Service community cause which “seeks to advance the opportunities of young women through career readiness, entrepreneurship, community betterment and a personal health and wellness mindset.”

Speakers, workshops and discussions are part of the one-day Conference in July. The opportunity to present an original idea that betters the community after the Conference will be presented to the Conference attendees.

Investing in young women is an idea close to the heart of Bovio Rubino Service president Angela Rubino Hines, a Mom of two young women and a leader amongst very few women in the HVAC and Plumbing service industry. In 2025 Hines was named one of the country’s “Top 12 Women in HVAC” by ACHR News. While she’s humble about the success she has achieved it inspires her to encourage the next generation of women leaders.

“We look forward to investing in young women this year at our Conference, through creative programs with our team members and through partnerships with nonprofit organizations. ‘LeadHERship in ’26’ is our way of giving back and inspiring the next generation of women leaders right here in South Jersey where we live and where our customers live.”
