Different Heat Pump Compressor TypesWhat’s the difference between single, two-stage, and variable speed compressors? Single-stage compressors have one output speed – high. Two-stage compressors operate most often at about 65% of total capacity, but full capacity during extreme temps. A variable-speed compressor has a fan motor that can move at different speeds and controls the amount of air dispersed in a home. A single-stage unit may offer the lowest initial investment, but it can cause high monthly energy bills. A two-stage unit is quieter and more efficient, while variable speed units are the most intelligent on the market and can save you big on energy costs over their lifetime.

Why Is My Gas Furnace Producing Yellow Flames?A clear blue flame is a sign of a healthy system. If yours has changed color, it’s usually a symptom of a dirty burner or heat exchanger. Never leave a yellow flame unchecked, though, because it could also be a sign of a natural gas leak.

Jake was the absolute best! He explained everything, but without talking down to me. He told me what should consider doing now and what could wait. Not pushy at all. I don't look forward to the maintenance visits, but Jake set the bar! A thousand stars to you, Jake!- Cosmo

Sam is the existential plumbing professional. We appreciated her personable approach. We were first-time customers, and signed up for the yearly plumbing maintenance, feeling comfortable with how we were treated. Jake is very knowledgeable and professional. I love how responsive this company is. My appointment was a little over a month away, and they called to say they had an opening today and got me in! The person who came cleaned everything and took pictures to educate me on the unit and issues he saw. I was very happy with the service.- C.F.
-
Robert was great! He switched out all of my leaky valves that were under my sink and fixed our dishwasher hookup. He was super friendly and great with my dog as well. Not only did he inform me of the missing handle on my water shut off which the township didn’t bother letting me know about when they switched my meter out but he was able to use one of the handles that were removed from under the sink so if I need to I can shut my water off. He did all of this in under two hours for a reasonable price. Would highly recommend it!- Michelle B.
-
We had a service call today. Brian is a great tech. He went over everything for the AC & changed out the filter. Great people skills that you just don't see that often anymore. Perfect service!- Kristy J.
-
Garbage disposal broke or I thought I broke it. Steve came out, assured me the garbage disposal had an inoperable O ring and couldn't be fixed and needed replacement. Had a new garbage disposal ready. Installed, quickly cleaned up. Very happy with the company's honesty and communication- Greg O.

David Ianni was our service tech, very friendly, professional and experienced. Really appreciated him taking the extra time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. An issue occurred with our unit after he left, and he took the time to come back and fix everything. I always appreciate the Bovio Rubino techs. They hire good people!- Mark B.

Custom Cooling Solutions Tailored to Your Needs
We take a personalized approach to air conditioning installation because we know that every home is different. Backed by extensive hands-on experience and a team that values doing things the right way, we’re proud to offer a full range of cooling options to meet the diverse needs of homeowners in Turnersville.
Our cooling installation services include:
- Central air conditioning systems – If your home already has ductwork and you're looking for a powerful, whole-home solution, a central AC system may be an appropriate fit. These systems are ideal for larger homes and offer consistent cooling throughout every room.
- Ductless mini-split systems – For properties without existing ductwork—common in older homes or recent additions—a ductless mini-split provides a flexible, efficient solution allowing room-by-room temperature control.
- Energy-efficient heat pumps – Heat pumps offer heating and cooling, making them a great year-round option, particularly for homeowners looking to reduce their energy use and rely less on fossil fuels.
As a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, we install industry-leading products known for their performance, reliability, and energy efficiency. This designation also means our team is trained to Carrier’s exacting standards, giving you peace of mind that your system is installed with precision and care.
Why Proper AC Sizing Matters for Lasting Comfort and Efficiency
Selecting the right size air conditioning system is one of the most critical steps in ensuring your home stays comfortable throughout the summer—without driving up your energy bills. We take the time to assess your home’s unique features so we can install a system that performs efficiently, keeps your indoor temperature steady, and avoids the common issues that come with an improperly sized unit.
When we evaluate your home, we look at more than just square footage. We consider the following:
- Age and condition of insulation
- Number and placement of windows
- Ceiling height
- Orientation to the sun
- How air flows between rooms
These factors all play a role in determining the right system size for your home’s layout and usage patterns.
We also account for local home styles. For example, larger homes in neighborhoods like Wedgewood or Whitman Square may require higher-capacity systems to cool multiple levels or expansive living areas. Meanwhile, older homes near Greentree Road might need a different approach due to dated insulation or window design. Our goal is to make sure your new AC system is tailored to your property—so you can enjoy dependable comfort all summer without wasting energy.
Modern AC Technology: Smarter, More Efficient, and Built for Long-Term Savings
If it’s been a while since you replaced your air conditioner, you might be surprised by how much today’s systems have advanced. Modern air conditioners are more efficient than older models, thanks to new standards, smarter controls, and improved system design. We install high-efficiency Carrier systems that keep you comfortable while helping you save on energy costs.
One of the biggest changes in the industry is the move to SEER2 ratings (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio 2). This updated standard measures how much cooling a unit delivers compared to the amount of electricity it uses. Higher SEER2 ratings indicate better energy performance, and today’s systems meet much stricter efficiency requirements than those installed just a decade ago.
New units also feature advanced technology that helps them adapt to your home’s cooling needs. Rather than running at full power all the time, variable-speed systems and smart controls adjust output based on your actual demand, reducing energy use and maintaining more consistent temperatures. With features like programmable thermostats, you can create a cooling schedule that works with your lifestyle—without wasting electricity.
