Different Heat Pump Compressor TypesWhat’s the difference between single, two-stage, and variable speed compressors? Single-stage compressors have one output speed – high. Two-stage compressors operate most often at about 65% of total capacity, but full capacity during extreme temps. A variable-speed compressor has a fan motor that can move at different speeds and controls the amount of air dispersed in a home. A single-stage unit may offer the lowest initial investment, but it can cause high monthly energy bills. A two-stage unit is quieter and more efficient, while variable speed units are the most intelligent on the market and can save you big on energy costs over their lifetime.

Why Is My Gas Furnace Producing Yellow Flames?A clear blue flame is a sign of a healthy system. If yours has changed color, it’s usually a symptom of a dirty burner or heat exchanger. Never leave a yellow flame unchecked, though, because it could also be a sign of a natural gas leak.

Jake was the absolute best! He explained everything, but without talking down to me. He told me what should consider doing now and what could wait. Not pushy at all. I don't look forward to the maintenance visits, but Jake set the bar! A thousand stars to you, Jake!- Cosmo

Robert was great! He switched out all of my leaky valves that were under my sink and fixed our dishwasher hookup. He was super friendly and great with my dog as well. Not only did he inform me of the missing handle on my water shut off which the township didn’t bother letting me know about when they switched my meter out but he was able to use one of the handles that were removed from under the sink so if I need to I can shut my water off. He did all of this in under two hours for a reasonable price. Would highly recommend it!- Michelle B.

Common Air Conditioner Problems We Fix
Our skilled technicians have the experience and tools to quickly diagnose and repair problems with all major AC brands, including Carrier, Lennox, and Trane. Thus, no matter the model, your system is in capable hands.
We handle various air conditioning issues, including the following:
- Warm air blowing from vents – When your AC pushes out warm air instead of the cool breeze you expect, it might indicate a refrigerant leak, a faulty compressor, or another problem preventing your system from working as it should.
- AC not turning on – A non-functioning AC unit is often caused by an electrical issue, a faulty thermostat, or an issue with the unit’s power supply. Our technicians can diagnose and resolve these issues to restore comfort.
- Frequent cycling or short cycling – If your AC constantly turns on and off, it could be a sign of an oversized unit, an electrical issue, or a problem with the thermostat or airflow. We can find the root cause and get your system running smoothly again.
- Leaking units or frozen coils – Leaks or frozen coils can stem from low refrigerant levels, poor airflow, or a clogged condensate drain. These problems can lead to long-term damage, so it’s crucial to address them promptly.
- Strange noises or smells – Unusual sounds like rattling, buzzing, or grinding or unpleasant odors from the unit can indicate mechanical failure or issues with the AC system’s components. Our team can troubleshoot and correct the problem to prevent further damage.
- Thermostat issues – If your thermostat is not functioning correctly, it can cause your AC to run inefficiently. We can calibrate or replace thermostats for proper temperature regulation and energy efficiency.
